Black Camel: Donald W. Davies




Donald W. Davies, age 99 of Harbert, MI, formerly of Griffith/Gary, IN passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016. He was a graduate of Horace Mann High School and Indiana University. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a member of the Flying Shriners.

Don was the founder of Davies Imperial Coatings in Hammond. In 1981 Don and his wife of 67 years, Adele, relocated to Birchwood Beach, Harbert, MI, He is survived by his children: Susan (Grant) Hamilton of Chicago and Donn (JoAnn) Davies of Chesterton; three grandchildren: Ryan (Julie) Davies of Menomonee Falls, WI, Katie (Chris) Joseforsky of Valparaiso and Kim (John) Chomica of Zionsville; seven great grandchildren: Owen and Audrey Davies, Matthew and Anna Joseforsky, and William, Elizabeth and Henry Chomica. He was preceded in death by his wife Adele.

Funeral service Monday, December 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN.
Friends are invited to visit with Don’s family on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
